| Corporator Gurmeet Randhawa kick starts road upgradation | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 9: Continuing to fulfil long pending demands of residents, Councillor Gurmeet Kour Randhawa of Ward 69 kick started upgradation and macadamisation of roads of sector A, B and C of Ward 69 of Sainik Colony, worth Rs 45 lakhs. The residents highlighted that the colony remained neglected for last 30 years for development work but finally the works have started at a rapid pace under present Corporator.
The residents, present during the kick-starting of work appreciated the systematic approach of Councillor Gurmeet Kour Randhawa in handling the works and cooperation of Public Works (R & B) Department. The councillor assured the resident that she will leave no stone unturned to ensure development of the Colony.
Councillor Gurmeet Randhawa said that she is aware of shortage of water in the Colony and she has approached Jal Shakti Department to repair tubewells, overhead tanks and pipelines on priority. |
