NSS unit of GDC Ramnagar organizes webinar regarding National Helpline for senior citizens

JAMMU, July 9: NSS unit of Govt Degree College Ramnagar in collaboration with 'Samarth Elder Care' organized a webinar regarding awareness on NHSC (National Helpline for Senior Citizen) under the patronship of Dr Udhey Bhanu, Principal GDC Ramnagar and under the guidance of Prof Ritika Mahajan, NSS Programme Officer. The purpose of the webinar was to acquaint the students and NSS volunteers about the various schemes regarding the security and safety of our senior citizens.
The resource person of the webinar was Rajeev Dubey, Director Samarth Elder Care. He elaborated that how NHSC works with four module : Information, Action, Maintenance and Rescue.
He also provided the students with NHSC helpline number 14567 where anybody can call if any person above the age of 60 years is found in difficulty or needs any sort of help.
Various volunteers and students interacted with the resource person and assured their all types of assistance to help the elder people and society. At last, Prof Ritika Mahajan, NSS PO of the college proposed the officers of NHSC to involve the volunteers of the college also in this noble task of assisting elder people and also thanked the Samarth Elder Care for their services to humanity.
