'New delimitation should be done after the census of 2021'

JAMMU, July 11: An emergency meeting of various Sikh organizations J&K was held under the chairmanship of S. Mohinder Singh Chief Organiszer Bhai Kanaya Nishkam Sewa society J&K and Ex-member District Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee Jammu.
In the meeting various Sikh organizations participated and discussed various issues confronting the Sikh community appealed the prime minister of India Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah that the delimitation commission on two days tour in J and K and the main task of delimitation commission is redrawing boundaries of various Assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies based on current census.
Now the census of 2021 is due and new population has increased, so the new delimitation should be done after the census of 2021. The Sikh Organizations appealed for return of statehood status to Jammu and Kashmir and after that election be conducted and after establishing popular Government the delimitation process be executed on the basis of census of 2021. In the year 2026 as and when the delimitation process shall be conducted throughout India.
So for the delimitation process of Jammu and Kashmir is concern Sikh organizations demanded that the Sikhs are the minority community and are refugees of 1947 from POK who displaced from POK during partition of India into two nations i.e. India and Pakistan on communal basis and Sikhs are the most sufferer and lost many of their family members in communal clashes. The Sikhs fight bravely to stop invaders from capturing the area of Jammu and Kashmir otherwise the map of Jammu Kashmir May be different.
The Jammu Kashmir Sikh organizations demanding ending of discrimination with Sikh minority community by providing due share in assembly and parliamentary constituencies. The eight seats out of 24 vacant seats of Pakistan occupied Kashmir be defreeze and six assemblies and one parliament seat should be reserved for Sikh community on the pattern of Sikkim where 12 seats for Bhutia-lepcha one seat for Sangha and one for schedule caste are reserved. Further the Sikh Organization demanded that till the popular Government is formed a Sikh Advisor (educated person) be appointed to the LG of JKUT. It is also demanded that the quota for refugee unemployed youths be fixed in recruitment at par with other reservations for SC ST categories.
