| NCC wing of GCW Parade Ground celebrates "World Population Day" | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 11: The 11th of July is observed as world population day. As we know that increase in population leads to the excessive use of resources which may results in shortage of many resources. Population explosion is a term used for over population. According to a report published in 2019, the total world population was 767.35 crores in 2019 and now the population is increasing day by day.
The theme this year for World Population Day is 'Rights and choices are the answer: Whether baby boom or bust, the solution to shifting fertility rates lies in prioritizing the reproductive health and rights of all people'
The NCC cadets of GCW, Parade Jammu spread awareness about the consequences of increase in population through videos and posters and also made people to understand how to control population. The cadets made a number of videos in which they describe the ill-effects of overpopulation or population explosion. All the activities were performed under the guidance of Principal S.P. Saraswat, ANO Suman Lata and other staff members. |
