Culture wing DIPR Jmu hosts Covid Appropriate Behaviour awareness event at GDC Nowshera

JAMMU, July 13: Cultural wing of Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) Jammu in collaboration with Internal Quality Assurance Cell, IQAC and Government Degree College Nowshera today organised a programme on 'Covid Appropriate Behaviour' in GDC Nowshera.
Principal of host College, Dr Surinder Kumar Sharma was the chief guest and Information Officer, Ashu Thappa was guest of honour.
Culture Officer, DIPR Jammu, Parul Khajuria, Coordinator from IQAC/College, Prof. Joginder Singh, Prof. Inam- ul- Haq, Prof. Rajat and others also participated in the awareness programme.
In all, 10 students took part in the awareness programme in which Kajal Sudan got 1st, Sanjana Sharma got 2nd and Tiya Suri bagged 3rd position besides Rahul Bhardwaj and Esha Sharma were selected for consolation prizes.
A musical programme featuring Songs and jingles on the topic were presented by the artists of Cultural Wing of DIPR Jammu including Banti Shah, Mohinder Panchairvi, Balbir Singh. The proceedings were conducted by Suresh Sharma, Senior Cultural Assistant and Drama Instructor, Vijay Anand.
In his address, Principal of the College, Dr Surinder Kumar Sharma appreciated the efforts being put in by the Information Department to organise awareness programmes on the covid appropriate behaviour.
Dr Sharma hoped that the DIPR would conduct more such programmes in future. He also advised the participants to follow all guidelines of the health Department regarding covid 19 Pandemic.
Guest of honour, Ashu Thapa highlighted the aims and objectives of the awareness programmes being conducted by the DIPR.
