| 23 Orchardists flagged off to join Horticulture week events | | |

KISHTWAR, July 13: A group of 23 orchardists hailing from different blocks of district Kishtwar were today flagged off to attend the mega event being organised by the Department of Horticulture at Fruit Mandi Akhnoor to mark the Horticulture week.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Sham Lal flagged of the orchardists to join the event being organised on the direction of LG J&K by the department of horticulture from 14th July to 20 July 2021.
The event will witness series of activities related to awareness and training of farmers for plantation of ultra high density plants, educate them about modern techniques in horticulture sector like drip system etc, development of floriculture at par with demand in UT besides tapping of Horticulture potential in different areas etc.
HDO Kishtwar Daljeet Singh, HDO Paddar Neeraj Kumar besides other officials were present on the occasion. |
