Asks to work with proactive, people-friendly approach | DDC Rajouri reviews performance of RDD | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, July 13: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan today took a comprehensive review of the performance of the Rural Development Department here in a meeting of the concerned officers held in the Conference Hall of the PWD Dak Bungalow. Among the others, ADDC, Pawan Kumar; ACD, CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; Sushil Khajuria; ACP, Abdul Rashid; XEn REW, Noor Ali and BDOs attended the meeting. A discussion on various points including initiation of works projected during Back to Village programme and water conservation-related works, progress regarding the works in the last financial year, Geo-tagging of assets, registration of youth under youth club, FTOs generation etc was held threadbare in the meeting. Concerning the works identified under B2V, the EXN REW said 754 works have been projected and are in the tendering process. He was directed to expedite the pace on all the works which have been tendered and also ensure speedy allotment of the tenders for the identified works. The District Development Commissioner also took a review of the block-wise progress of the works undertaken in the last financial year and the concerned BDOs were exhorted upon to pace up the progress. The direction to expedite the exercise of Geo-tagging of the completed works and the estimation of works approved under District Capex Budget 2021-22 was also given. Concerning the progress regarding the registration of the youth with the Youth Club, the District Development Commissioner urged upon the concerned officers to make sure that maximum youth of the district are registered with the club. The BDOs were asked to immediately start the work on all the water conservation-related works in their respective blocks and do not leave the station without prior permission. The District Development Commissioner also directed the concerned officers to ensure timely payment to the beneficiaries so that they don't face any inconveniences and maintain the quality of the works. Directions were issued to the concerned officers to conduct a survey to identify the abandoned Government buildings in their respective jurisdictions and submit the report at the earliest. . Regarding the progress in Aadhar seeding, the meeting was informed that 84 percent beneficiaries of pension schemes have been covered. Reviewing the PMAY houses being constructed in the district, the concerned were asked to ensure timely payment of installments to the beneficiaries under the scheme. |
