Prof Bhim Singh criticizes BJP
7/14/2021 10:57:18 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 14: Prof. Bhim Singh, President, J&K National Panthers Party and Sr. Advocate, Supreme Court of India expressed surprise on new family planning BJP project that proposes to ban those having more than two children from applying for any government job. Such persons shall not be qualified to contest any election from Municipality to Assembly or to Parliament also.
The State of Uttar Pradesh which is being ruled by BJP has already introduced the Bill in the U.P. Assembly. The legal experts as well as Parliamentarians other than BJP are waiting to see what kind of Bill in this regard shall be moved in the Parliament by the BJP.
Prof.Bhim Singh reminded the BJP leadership that the people of India had not even accepted nasbandi/sterilization during the emergency in 1975 when Sanjay Gandhi intended to mobilize the public opinion in favour of sterilization. It appears that BJP leadership is going far ahead than Sanjay Gandhi. The BJP may bring a bill in the Parliament after watching the fate of the bill already introduced in Uttar Pradesh Assembly during the current session.
Prof.Bhim Singh reminded the BJP leadership that people of India shall not allow any government/party to demolish the rule of nature that means one or more children in a family. Family planning and its meaning including its benefits to a family and the country have to be introduced and popularized among the masses as European countries have done and even the East is following the benefits of family planning.
Indira Gandhi did not pass any law or such attempt was made to make any law in the Parliament or in any state in support of family planning. Indira Gandhi tried to follow the principles of jurisprudence which were not accepted by the people, maybe, the methodology followed by the Congress leadership at that time did not go well with the masses of the country who were highly literate upto nearly 50% in 1975.
Prof.Bhim Singh said that the policy which is being propagated by the present ruling party in respect of family planning appears much harder as being followed by the legal means and methods. Introduction of family planning bill in Uttar Pradesh Assembly is the indication of what the Modi government is planning in future. No job for those having more than two children neither such person/male or female shall be eligible to contest any election to the Legislature in the country.
