AKHNOOR, July 14: Celebrating Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav, Department of Political Science, under the guidance of Principal Dr. Namrata, GDC Akhnoor today organized a webinar on the topic "From Women Welfare to Empowerment: An Analysis".
In the webinar, students and faculty members from different colleges joined the session and the session began by the introductory remarks of Dr. Rashmi Sharma, Assistant Professor and Head of Department, Political Science. The resource person was Marvi Slathia, Ph.D candidate at Centre for Political Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
The aim of the webinar was to create awareness and consciousness among the students towards gender issues and Feminist debates. There was a healthy question answer session after the discussion.
