DC Poonch reviews progress on construction of border Bunkers

POONCH, July 16: District Development Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet today chaired a meeting with officers to review the status of construction of Bunkers in the district.
During the meeting, Xen, PDD informed that out of 555 allocated to RDD, 309 bunkers stand completed till date, while more 112 are under construction and the work of the rest 134 is not started yet.
Out of 200 bunkers designated as languishing projects, 70 have been completed, 80 are in progress, while work of the remaining 50 is yet to start.
Xen PWD, informed that out of 633 bunkers allotted to his department, 617 have been completed and out of pending 16 , work on 14 is under execution and 2 bunkers have not been started due to a dispute. The DC directed the Xen, PWD, to clear the dispute by the end of July.
He directed the executing agency to expedite the pace of work on construction of border bunkers to ensure their timely completion. He also directed the concerned to submit the physical verification report of bunkers within a week.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Madan Lal, Assistant Commissioner Development, Rajesh Lakhan, Xen PWD, Mohd. Parvez, BDO's of all sub divisions besides other concerned officers were present.
