GCPF-JK demands equitable development, ending all types of reservations | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 16: General Category Peoples Front-Jammu Kashmir (GCPF-JK) has demanded equitable development, safeguarding the interest of every citizen of the country without any bias, prejudice, caste, class and religious discrimination, ending all types of reservations, quotas, special privileges, concessions, concept of majority, minority, backward, schedule caste, schedule tribe. President GCPF-JK, Prof Yash Paul Sanson said this while addressing the members of the Front. Sanson said that it is disappointing that like previous governments, Modi Government has been perpetuating casteism, classism, and communalism through reservations for vested political interests, General Category peoples / Swarn castes continued to be deprived of this basic fundamental rights with their share declining in socio-economic and political spheres by Only Bureaucrat Class (OBC) Modi regime, government of India led by Modi has destroyed socio-economic and political environment of the country through its divisive class and caste politics ignoring General Category Peoples. Front thanked opposition parties, electronic, print and social media for putting pressure on reluctant government to defreeze DA/DR of employees and pensioners. He said that defreezing of DA/DR and increase of 11% DA/DR is no way a gift to the employees and pensioners. It is a meager relief as people are facing steep price rise of essential commodities.
