Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 16: Workers of Bari Brahmana Sidco industrial complex staged protest demonstration against the state Govt for not revising the minimum wages which was last revised in the year 2017.
Addressing the workers, Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) Harbans Choudhary alleged on the govt that BMS has made numbers of representation to Advisor labour and employment and other senior officials of the Govt for revising the wages but so for nothing has been done in this regard and poor workers are facing hardships.
Ashok Choudhary Sangathan Mantri BMS also while addressing the workers alleged that workers working throu labour supplier contractors are very badly being exploited by the labour contractors as their wages are deducted illegally as compare to permanent workers neither PF detail is given to workers and forced to work in very inhuman working conditions and some factories has developed new system of employment as they take the workers from open market in shift duties and at the end of shift duty they are paid wages in cash daily and depriving the workers from ESI and PF benefits and labour department has no knowledge
The labour leaders appealed the LG kindly intervene in the matter and revise the minimum wages and direct the labour officials to take action in the matter as there is too much resentment among the private sector workers.
