JAMMU, July 16: Entrepreneurship cell of Government General Zorawar Singh Memorial Degree College, Reasi organized an online webinar on the topic "Career in Entrepreneurship".
Hari Bhushan, District Coordinator, Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI),Reasi was the key speaker. He gave an overview of JKEDI and how the institute has successfully trained youth for taking up business ventures instead of looking for government jobs.
He further informed that 85% of the trainees have successfully set up their business units and provided employment to many jobless youth. He also spoke about the success stories of entrepreneurs funded by JKEDI. The students were also made aware of the various schemes and programmes offered to youth by J&K UT Government, start up policy and registration process. He encouraged the students to be job creators rather than job seekers.
The webinar was graced by the principle of the college Dr. Chander Shekhar and attended by students and faculty of the college. The principle encouraged and motivated the students to take advantage of the initiative and various schemes of the government as intimated to them. The webinar was organized by Prof. Rekha Gupta(Convenor E-Cell), Dr. Prabhjot Kaur (Member) and Prof. Upasna (Member). The formal vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Rekha Gupta.
