| First Domicile certificate under new clause issued in Jammu tehsil | | |

Jammu, July 23: Today first domicile certificate under clause 7 has been issued to Dr Nidhi Sharma Daughter in law of Dr Makand Lal Sharma by Tehsildar south here today.
Previously we had to wait for at least 15 years to obtain domicile certificate in favour of those females who were married outside the state of Jammu and Kashmir but now the new provision authorizes a Tehsildar as competent authority for issuing the same under new clause.
While talking to Early Times,Tehsildar Jammu south Harjeet Singh said that the spouse is eligible to get certificate upon showing the domicile certificate of his/ her spouse and a valid marriage proof.
In this connection a domicile certificate under clause 7 has been issued in favour of Dr Nidhi Sharma by Tehsildar south Harjeet Singh here today.
