Kishtwar, July 23: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday seized the property of longest surviving Hizbul commander in this frontier district.
According to the details available with Early Times, NIA sleuths along with personnel of Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police raided the ancestral house of Hizb militant commander Mohammad Amin Butt alias Jehangir Saroori at Badhat Saroor in Drabshala Tehsil of Kishtwar District. The property was seized and the keys were handed over to a local Lumberdar.
Another raid was conducted at a house situated in the outskirts of Kishtwar town at upper Semna colony.
The said property is registered on the name of the Saroori’s brother. His wife and three children stay there. “The seizure of the property couldn’t materialize as it was not on the name of the militant commander,” sources said.
