SRINAGAR, July 23: Body of an 18-year-old youth was found under suspicious circumstances in south Kashmir district of Anantnag on Friday.
Official sources said that panic gripped village Shastergam in Anantnag when locals spotted the body of a youth in the area. "The locals immediately informed the police," they said, adding a team was rushed to the area and the body was taken away.
They said the deceased was later identified as Anamullah Haq, a resident of Dooru in Anantnag. "Police has registered a case and initiated investigation to ascertain the cause of the death," they said.
After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites. |
