SRINAGAR, July 23: A man drowned in a waterbody in the summer capital, Srinagar on Friday.
Official sources said that an unidentified man was washing his shoes at Sondar nallah in Srinagar when he slipped and fell into the waterbody. "People present at the spot jumped into the water to save the man, but failed to do so," they said.
They said a search operation has been launched to fish out the body. "Police has registered a case and initiated investigation into the incident," they added. |
