Early Times Report JAMMU, July 23: 67th foundation day of the BMS was celebrated today by the affiliated unions working in District Jammu, Samba, Reasi, Udhampur, Kathua, Rajouri and Doda. The workers gathered at unit level and celebrated the foundation day with zeal and enthusiasm and distributed sweets to the workers. The ASCOMS Employees Union organized a langar at Batra Hospital. The leaders while addressing the workers said that BMS stands at number one place in terms of membership strength having more than 20 million and have presence, all over the country all this has been achieved with the principles laid down by the Datto Pant Thengdi, founder of BMS, who established BMS on 23 July 1955 at Bhopal with a non-political character. The Anganwadi Workers Welfare Association, a unit of BMS, celebrated the day as demand day and submitted a memorandum of long pending demands to LG of JKUT through SDM/ Tehsildar of all blocks in Jammu province. The main function was held at state BMS office Parade Jammu Ashfaq Ahmed Chohan President, Neelam Sharma General Secretary, Harbans Choudhary Working President, Ashok Choudhary Organizing Secretary and others attended the programmes held in different districts. |
