2 trekkers dies, another injured in Anantnag | | | Early Times Report ANANTNAG, July 23: Two trekkers died and another was seriously injured after they fell into a deep gorge in north Kashmir late Thursday night, officials said. They said a group of three trekkers were onway to Banihal from Verinag Anantnag when they lost the trek and fell into a crevasse at Hallan late last night. Police this morning recovered the bodies of trekkers identified as 18-year-old Aaqib Wani son of Tariq Ahmad Wani, resident of Dolegam Banihal and Mohammad Imran Khan (26), son of Abdul Salam Khan, a resident of Verinag Anantnag. The injured Muzamil Ahamad Sheikh son of Nazir Ahmad Sheikh, resident of Dolegam Banihal was rescued and shifted to hospital in a critical condition. Further details are awaited, they said. |
