Kashmiri Migrants’ delegation calls on Spl Secy DDMRRR

JAMMU, July 23: A delegation of Kashmiri Migrants led by its Chairman/ President Er Ramesh Chander Mahajan met Special Secretary to Govt Department of Disaster Management Relief, Rehabilitation & Reconstruction (DDMRRR) at Civil Secretariat, Jammu today and apprised him long pending, burning problem being faced by suffering Kashmiri Migrants , later handover a memorandum for appropriate action, which mentioned charter of demands including enhancement of monthly cash relief assistance with free medical aid, 40% of permanent share in job reservation and creation of additional 35000 posts in various central and UT Govt departments in lieu of 25000 retired migrant employees for immediate absorbance with all facilities of at par central employees benefits, release of pending list and sanctioning of loan scheme under PM economic and centre skill development, programme for setting up small business / SSI venture/MSME unit with one time compensation of 25 lakhs to over aged youths, immediately provide allotment /accommodation to those suffering employees who are left out during PM package living in private rented one room in unsecure far flung /hilly areas. The delegation also projected and discussed list of several other demands in the memorandum for appropriate action. After listening to the delegation, the Special Secretary assured all possible help to redress the genuine grievances on humanitarian grounds. The others who were part of the delegation included Sunil Kumar Bhat and Susheel Chopra.
