DC Doda discusses development issues with BDC Chairpersons, DDC members
Directs line departments to maintain coordination with PRIs for prompt redress of public grievances

DODA, July 27: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Vikas Sharma today held an interactive session with BDC Chairpersons and DDC members of the district in presence of officers of line departments and listened to the issues with regard to provision of basic amenities in the respective areas of elected representatives present in the meeting.
The public representatives sought augmentation of existing water supply schemes in far off places, up-gradation of Power infrastructure, filling up of vacant posts of BDOs and Tehsildars, adequate staff in the schools as well as in health institutions, timely completion of ongoing projects with special reference to PMGSY, PHE and PWD departments, resolving the bottleneck hampering developmental projects, payment of pending land compensation, execution of works as per the devised DPR, early purchase of ambulances, doing away with practice of giving additional charge to officers, besides other various important issues. Regarding construction of 3 KM road at Topneel the XEn PWD informed the DC that the proposal has been submitted alongwith the other new road projects to NABARD and approval is still pending as the Nodal agency doesn't entertain any land compensation criteria. The DC asked the concerned BDC Chairpersons to submit the resolution to the PWD that land compensation is not required so that they shall further submit the concerned Nodal agency and these new road works shall get started on priority basis. Moreover, the DC directed the PWD department to start all other held up works by resolving the bottleneck within Seven days and submit the action taken report to the DC office. With regard to the sluggish electrification work by Shalaka Infra Tech in the rest of hamlets, the DC informed the participants that the management of the company has been pulled up for non serious approach. He asked the ACD to conduct a tour of Gai Dessa to take stock of the ground situation and accordingly take action against the erring agency. The DC also directed the PHE department to give wide publicity to the works taken up for restoration and repair of schemes, notifying the areas, for the information of people and getting public feedback about the left out areas. The XEn PDD was asked to submit the detail estimates of the works taken under augmentation of existing infrastructure for detecting any irregularities in the light of market rates. Regarding payment of pending installments of PMAY houses, the ACD informed that the order sheets have been generated by the BDOs, and as soon as the funds are made available in the central pool, the payments will be done. Regarding the installation of VSAT in the Panchayat Ghars, the DC directed the planning section to schedule a meeting with BSNL department to review the actual position and initiate measures for their functioning. The meeting was also attended by Chief Planning Officer, ACD, DIO Doda, XEn PHE, PWD, PDD, AD Planning DC office, besides other officials.
