KISHTWAR, July 27: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma today chaired a meeting of officers to review the arrangements for the Independence Day- 2021 celebration, here in the Conference Hall of New DC Office Complex. The meeting reviewed arrangements regarding security, traffic regulation, seating, decoration, illumination of offices, Power and water supply, sanitation, Medicare facilities and cultural activities. Sensitizing officers about their role and responsibility, the DC instructed to ensure that all arrangements are made in advance for smooth conduct of the celebrations in all Panchayats, Tehsils and Blocks of the District. He also stressed on creating awareness on COVID-19 Appropriate Behaviour through hoardings at all venues. It was decided that the selection of venue will be finalised by the concerned committee in a week’s time. He emphasized on making seating arrangements as per Covid safety protocol. Similar instructions were issued regarding the presentation of cultural programme. The Chief Medical Officer was asked to deploy a team of doctors and paramedics for thermal scanning of participants from the beginning of rehearsal activities of function. He further directed that contingents including of J&K Police, Armed, CRPF, CISF, Forest Protection Force, NCC shall participate in the march past and make band arrangements as per the past practices. Among others, the meeting was attended by ADC, Kishori Lal Sharma; ASP, Rajinder Singh; ACD, Kishore Singh Katoch besides officers from Police, Army, CRPF, CISF and concerned district officers. |
