Son of Soil actor Sunil Palwal features in Natrang's Theatre Talk Show | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 27: Recipient of Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar in Acting from Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi, Son of the soil, Sunil Palwal got featured today in the 50th episode of Natrang’s National Theatre Talk Show, ‘Young Voices of Theatre’, on the Facebook page of Natrang where he shared his inspirational thoughts with the global audience. Sunil Palwal born in Katra of Reasi district in Jammu Kashmir is a theatre and film actor and acting coach, who is known for his films like ‘Jolly LLB 2, where he played the role of Fahim Butt, Jabbar in ‘Uri’, Nasir in ‘Shehjar’, ‘Sarsenapati Hambirrao’, ‘Love Hackers’ and ‘Sanak’ etc. He is a Post Graduate Diploma holder in Acting form Mandi School of Drama, Mandi and has completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Acting from FTII, Pune in the year 2011. Sunil has been practicing theatre since long and has been actively involved with prestigious theatre group Natrang, Jammu. In an interesting conversation with Natrang’s senior artist Neeraj Kant, Sunil narrated his eventful journey of theatre which started with Natrang during his college days. He always wanted to become a film actor and considered theatre to be an appropriate training platform but over the time, he could sense the might of theatre and started doing sincere efforts. Recalling fond memories of working in Natrang, he shared some of his memorable experiences and also declares Natrang to be a boon for Jammu people which offers immense professional theatre facilities in a small city which are rare to find in even metros. He also shared his experience of working with ‘Asmita’ theatre group, Mandi School of Drama and FTII, Pune. He shares that while struggling in Mumbai, it was only theatre which helped him in his survival and even because of theatre only he got a chance in the film Jolly LLB-2 which changed his career. He admitted that the prestigious acknowledgement like SNA's Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Award for acting, encouraged him a lot in his career. He also informed about some of his upcoming projects. To the new aspirants, Sunil suggests that there is no shortcut in this field, one has to work hard to achieve something and enriching oneself is the only key to success.
