| PIL on completion of Tangchater Bridge | | DB directs AAG to file status report of project | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 27: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Samaj Sudhar Committee seeking for the completion of Tangchater Bridge which is being constructed by JKPCC, North, Srinagar. Division Bench of Jammu & Kashmir High Court Comprising Chief Justice Pankaj Mithal and Justice Sanjay Dhar directed AAG to file Affidavit.
When the PIL cameup for hearing, Division Bench observed that at one point of time a statement was made that it will be completed by May 2021, but we have not been informed as to whether the same has been completed and made functional.
DB directed AAG, appearing for the official respondents is directed to seek instructions and file an affidavit clearly indicating whether the project has been completed and made functional. JNF |
