The meeting expressed strong resentment over the casual responseto the work boycott notice served to management on 23.07.2021,wherein one week was given for the revocation of suspension and attachment orders of Executive Engineers and Assistant Ex.Engineers issued by the Administrative department vide its order no- 140-JK(PDD)of 2021 and 141-JK(PDD) of 2021 Dated-22/7/2021 and suspension orders of Tech-staff issued by CE JPDCL Jammu. Accordingly the coordination committee has decided to go ahead with the work boycott call from 30th July 2021 across Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting was also attended online by Munshi Majid Ali, President JKEEGA and Convenor PEECC Kashmir. The said attachment and suspension orders are arbitrary, beyond comprehension and the staff in question have an impeccable record throughout their service career, the meeting observed. During the peak summer they have been doing every effort within the limited resources, manpower to maintain smooth power supply. The employees are now under severe stress and if such arbitrary orders are not revoked immediately, the Power scenario could get disturbed starting 30th July 2021 as all the employees from top to bottom are united on the issue, they said, adding that the responsibility of any failure of power supply shall lie exclusively on the management. Meanwhile JKPEECC has appealed the staff to maintain smooth power supply to hospitals and essential installations. JKPEECC has kept the talks open subject to the condition that such suspension and attachment orders shall be withdrawn by the Principal Secretary PDD Rohit Kansal on immediate basis in order to avoid the confrontation between employees and management.
