Corporator organizes Ayushman Health insurance camp | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 28: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Corporator Parmodh Kapahi on Wednesday organized Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY)" awareness camp. The health insurance camp was inaugurated the launch of the scheme here in which a large number of residents of Ward-14 at a programme organised under the supervision of Corporator Parmodh Kapahi Speaking on the occasion, Corporator Parmodh Kapahi said the AB-PMJAY aimed at providing portable coverage of Rs 5 lakh per family annually, and a beneficiary covered under the scheme would be allowed to avail cashless benefits from any public and private empanelled hospitals across the country. "The scheme will be launched across the country by to he Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Prime Minister Narendra Modi," he said and added that the scheme was entitlement based, which would decided on the basis of the deprivation criteria in the Socio-Economic and Caste Census (SECC) database. He said in Jammu district, around 99 per cent of the verification process for eligibility under the AB-PMJAY scheme had been completed in urban and rural households had been identified. He added after proper identification, a card will be issued to each beneficiary. |
