AIMCCC holds meeting, highlights various issues

JAMMU, July 30: All India Migrant Camps Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) held a meeting under the chairmanship of president Desh Rattan Pandita to highlight the burning problems of displaced Kashmiri Pandits (KPs) which the administration either at center or state never bothered to listen.
He said that KPs are the stake holders of valley and are true nationalists, have sacrificed everything for the country. He expressed deep concern over the step motherly treatment of government towards KP community. He appealed Prime Minister and Home Minister to look into the problems of KPs as they were never heard or given appointment to express theirr issues.
The problems discussed and demands made included relief assistance to relief holders from present Rs 3250/-per soul/per month be enhanced to Rs 6000/-per soul/per month as the prices of essential commodities have risen high, KP wards who got overage due to wrong policies of government during these 32 years of exile, be provided special financial package for their livelihood so that they can register themselves for earnings by different means to support their families and self, balanced ex-gratia of burnt/damaged houses/other structures be released soon which has been kept hanging for the last 30 years, passage of Temple & Shrine Bill besides several other issues were also deliberated.
Among other members who spoke in the meeting included Manmohan Kanth J L Raina, Vinoo Misri, Satish Sas, Shadi Lal Bhat and others.
