Public help vital for ensuring cleanliness: Narinder Jamwal | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 30: Chairman Public Health and Sanitation Committee of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Narinder Singh Jamwal on Friday said that cooperation of people is imperative in making Jammu clean and serene. He said this during a meeting with residents of Om Nagar locality falling in ward no. 32. The PH&S Committee Chairman was flanked by Chairman Social Justice Committee JMC, Kuldeep Singh Chib. They visited Om Nagar to have a firsthand account of the ground situation especially during the monsoon season. The CTO Talat Mehmood Khan and other concerned Sanitation officials accompanied the Chairpersons during the visit. Narinder Singh took stock of the problems of the people of the area and assured full support of the municipality in early redressal of their problems. He said that the regular staff of the JMC will be given full support and logistics to make their hands stronger to deal with filth and garbage in a more efficient manner. The people apprised the visiting team about their problems to which Narinder Jamwal responded in a very positive manner and assured that within a week things will change in the way that dirt will vanish and the area will start appearing serene. He vowed to visit the locality in a week's time and would like to feel the sea change as proposed in the meeting. Jamwal, however, appealed to the people of the ward to pay municipality’s user charges on monthly basis for proper upkeep of the ward and to fulfill the dream of PM Narendra Modi to make India Swachh and Swasth. |
