Ex-CPFWA asks GoI to redress their issues on priority

JAMMU, Aug 1: President, Ex-Central Paramilitary Forces Welfare Association (CPFWA), Shashi Sharma under Government of India to redress the demands Ex. Central Paramilitary Forces, consisting of BSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, CISF and Assam Raffle, at the earliest.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Nagar here, Shashi Sharma expressed sentiment against the government for not redressing the long pending demands of all paramilitary forces.
He demanded from the government to frame separate Armed Forces service & pension rules instead of CCS rules and exempt from New Pension Scheme (NPS) being Armed Forces, One Rank One Pension (OROP) similar to Defence Forces, implement Act 1972 regarding civil pension rules in which only 7% reserved for paramilitary forces and 93% for the civilian combined together whereas the rule for paramilitary forces should be separated from the civilian one.
he also demanded grant of Ex-Serviceman status to the paramilitary forces on the pattern of the Indian Army.
“GoI is dividing the soldiers by criminating and refusing the fundamental rights provided under the constitutional provision by not granting us the OROP, MSP as well as grade pay,” he said.
He expressed that Union Govt betrayed with the employees as one of the minister Anurag Thakur, the then Finance Minister justifies in the parliament for the releasing of Dearness Allowance with arrears where has gone their promises.
Darshan Kumar General Secretary, Noor Mohammad, Ashok Kumar, Harbans Lal and Janak Raj were also present in the press conference.
