Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 2: Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Chander Mohan Gupta along with Shamma Akhtar Councilor of ward no.71 today conducted a tour of Sidhra, Majeen and adjoining localities and took stock of the various ongoing development activities.
They also met with the locals who put forth number of issues of public importance before the mayor which includes construction of lanes/drains in the remaining localities, construction of a shamshan Ghat along with shed, water facilities, laying of boundary wall as well as other allied activities at vacant land at Majeen as the inhabitants of Majeen and nearby localities have to cover a long distance to reach the Shamshan Ghat situated at Sidhra.
They also requested that number of villages have been included in the ward no.71 during Municipal Corporation election in the year 2018 and their ward is early extended which requires additional Safaikaramcharies and extra funds for executing development works as most of the areas are Kaccha and rural one. Omkar Singh, Om Parkash, Sagar Singh, Ravi Kumar and other prominent inhabitants of the ward were accompanied the mayor during the tour.
Mayor gave them patience hearing and assured them that all their genuine issues will be resolved within the shortest period of time.
