| Forest Deptt organizes plantation drive at P/S Bahu | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 2: A plantation drive was organized by Bahu Forest Range in the premises of Police Station (PS) Bahu under the banner of J&K Green Drive. Plantation drive was organized under the supervision of Range Forest Officer Bahu, Rakeshwar Rana and Block Forest Officer Bahu, Rakeshwar Singh Kurhan.
During plantation drive Councilor Ward No 48 Bahu, Sham Lal Basson was chief guest. SHO, PS Bahu, Kirti Sharma actively participated in the plantation drive. Prominent personalities of locality including Om Parkash, ex-chairman Dogra Sabha Gorkha Nagar Jammu was also present. Speaking on the occasion, Sham Lal Basson appreciated the working of Bahu Forest Block during green drive. He added that every individual should grow more and more trees to make green surrounding.
Speaking on the occasion, SHO Kirti Sharma said it is the need of hour to plant more and more trees as pollution is increasing day by day. Rakeshwar Singh, Block Forest Officer Bahu, presented vote of thanks to all the dignitaries present during the occasion of plantation drive. |
