OT technicians raise long pending demands

JAMMU, Aug 2: OT Tech Association of Health Department raised the long pending demand of departmental promotion of all categories in health department.
While addressing a press conference Jaswinder Singh, urged the Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha for personally intervention in this matter as the authorities responsible for doing D.P.C. adopt delay tactis toward meeting the genuine demands as more than 1000 posts of different categories are lying vacant which will filled by D.P.C. only.
Govt. is preparing for 3rd wave by only by supplying of huge number of equipments in hospitals, which will not serve the problems due to shortage of staff which are supposed to operate the equipment.
He further gave the example of one of the District Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu that only two OT Technician are working against huge load of Gynae, Surgery, ENT and Ortho patients, while four posts of OT Technicians are vacant in the sanctioned strength. Similarly, posts of Asstt. Nursing Matron, Head OT Tech., Head Pharmacist and many more are lying vacant. He further announced support to the struggle started by Medical Employee Federation (for departmental promotions) including District-wise Dharna starting from 3rd of August, Jammu Chalo Programme on 24th of August 2021.
