SRINAGAR, Aug 3: Jammu and Kashmir police has issued a list of top ten militants who are active in the Kashmir valley.
In a tweet Inspector General of Police (IGP) Vijay Kumar said, "Top 10 #targets: #Old #terrorists- Salim Parray, Yousuf Kantroo, Abbas Sheikh, Reyaz Shetergund, Farooq Nali, Zubair Wani & Ashraf Molvi. #New #terrorists- Saqib Manzoor, Umer Mustaq Khandey & Wakeel Shah: IGP Kashmir".
This year over 85 militants, including top commanders of Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) were killed by security forces in different encounters in the valley, particularly in south Kashmir. About a dozen militants were also allowed to surrender during the encounter. |
