DC Doda reviews compliance of directions issued by J&K UT Government
Directs Line departments to ensure implementation before set deadline

DODA, Aug 3: The compliance of various directions issued by the UT Government, which includes inauguration of completed works, allotment and functioning of abandoned school buildings, formation of youth clubs, formation of plantation committees, holding activities under Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav, hoisting of National Flags on all public buildings on the eve of 15th of August, National Anthem singing competition etc were today reviewed by Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vikas Sharma, here at a meeting of the line departments.
It was apprised that the Youth Clubs have been constituted in all Panchayats across the district under the Mission Youth and the formal orders in this regard will be issued soon. The meeting was further apprised that the offices of BDC Chairpersons are functioning from the buildings of the BDO offices.
The DC directed the ADCs and SDMs to hold the meeting of all youth clubs and explain the members their role and responsibilities, besides open the joint accounts for disbursement of honorarium.
The Chief Education Officer Doda was asked to complete the handing over of vacant school buildings to the different departments by 7th of this month for their better utilization before August 15.
The DC was apprised that 230 plantation committees have been constituted in the district till date. He directed the RDD to constitute the plantation committees in the remaining Panchayats and prepare the list of works which shall be inaugurated on August 15. While reviewing the preparations for Independence Day celebration, the DC directed to hoist the National Flags on each Government building without any fail. He asked the concerned authorities to organise competitions of National Anthem singing and forward the list of winners to the concerned authorities for further course of action.
Moreover the DC directed all the officers to hold a series of activities to mark Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on regular intervals across the district and submit the photographs and videos to DIO Doda for wider publicity.
The DC also asked the officers to initiate the cleanliness drive in their offices involving the staff during the first fifteen days of ongoing month as per the directions of UT Govt and to submit the compliance report supported by photography to the DC office on priority basis.
The meeting was attended by ADC Doda, ADC Bhaderwah, CPO Doda, ACR Doda, ACP Doda, SDM Thathri, Tehsildars, DIO, CEO Doda, CMO Doda, CAHO Doda, DYSSO Doda, Dy Registrar Cooperatives Doda, besides other officers of various departments were also present in the meeting.
