Court rejects bail in kidnapping case | | | Early Times Report SAMBA, Aug 9: Principal Sessions Judge Samba Sonia Gupta rejected the bail application of one Muninder Singh who was also involved in kidnapping of minor child which was abducted from Chichi Mata Temple. While rejecting the bail application, Principal Sessions Judge Samba Sonia Gupta observed that the allegations against the applicant are severe in nature and perusal of the record 'prima facie' reveals his involvement in kidnapping and trafficking of a minor child. Investigation of the case is not complete as yet and the co- accused, who was conspirator in the case, is still absconding. Nature of the offence can never be lost sight of by the court while deciding the bail application. The bail cannot be sought in such like cases as a matter of right and keeping in view the nature of offence and punishment, which is provided under the Act. With these observations, Court rejected the bail application. The Police report reveals that on 08.07.2021, complainant Amar Singh S/O Ram Saroop R/O Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana A/P near Chichi Mata Temple, Samba, reported in Police Station, Samba, that at around 1230 hours on that day, his grandson namely, Amit, age 20 months, has been missing from his tented accommodation near Chichi Mata Temple, NHW 44, Samba and apprehended that some unknown persons might have kidnapped him. On this information, a case vide FIR No. 224/2021 u/s 363-A IPC was registered. —JNF |
