GCW Gandhi Nagar starts weeklong activities to mark 75th Independence Day celebration

JAMMU, Aug 9: Government PG College for Women Gandhi Nagar today started week- long activities to mark 75th Independence Day celebration.
The College is going to hold series of events, both online and offline, like Webinars, Digital Post Card Making, Poetry Recitation, Greeting Card Making Competition etc under the aegis of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'.
In this connection, the Department of History organised a webinar on 'Quit India Movement' and set the stage for week long celebrations ahead. The webinar was held under the patronage of Principal Dr. Sangita Nagari. The Resource person of the event was Dr. Ranjodh Singh, Assistant Professor Department of History, MAM College. He shared his views on the Historic Movement and gave the participants an insight into it. Dr. Sangita Nagari, appreciated the efforts of History Department and exhorted the students to value their Independence and inculcate the spirit of patriotism in them. Prof. Puja Parihar (HOD History) presented the welcome address. Prof. Abhinav Sharma moderated the session. The Programme concluded with the formal vote of thanks by Dr. Jagmeet Kour.
