GDC Kathua organizes Kavi Darbaar

KATHUA, Aug 9: NSS Units Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua organised Kavi Darbar under Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav celebration fortnight programme.
The programme was started with formal welcome note by NSS Prog Officer Prof Ritu Kumar Sharma. Principal GDC Kathua Prof Assa Ram Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion. He also addressed the gathering with his thought provoking speech.
His motivational speech filled the enthusism among the participants to work for the integrityof the nation. The theme of the event was patriotic poems on the life and contribution of freedom fighters. More than ten participants as a poet took part in the event. Each participant recited his/her poem on the selected patriotic theme. The name of the participated poets are Vijay Sharma, TR Sumbria, Sham Lal Khajuria, Kuldeep Raj, Dr Rachna Devi, Jarnish Bandral , Kanav Billoria, Ritik Pandyal and Kewal Kumar and Namsn Dogra. More than hundred volunteers took part as a audience. All the participants paid tribute through their poems on the life and Contribution of freedom fighters. The proceedings of the programme was conducted by senior most NSS volunteer Naman Dogra.
The event was organised under the patronage of Prof Assa Ram Sharma and under the supervision of NSS Prog officers Prof Manmohan Singh. The programme was concluded with vote of thanks presented by Prof Neha Bandral NSS Prog Officer.
