| National handloom day celebrated | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 9: National Handloom Day was celebrated in Thathli, Panjar a small village situated on hillock.
The weavers blamed Department of Director Handloom Development Department and concerned Assistant Director Weavers Service Centre. Funds worth crores were released to implement various components of the cluster but as per the information given by the weavers funds have been misused for which they demanded to fix up the responsibility and action and demanded action.
The BJP artisans and weaver cell celebrated the National Handloom day.
Nand Lal a senior weaver along with other co weavers in coordination with BJP weavers and artisans cell organised this function. Basant Kumar, chairman Khadi and Gram Udyog North Zone was the chief guest. He was accompanied by national convenor Bijay Bharti.
Both were given tumultuous welcome by all villagers Jagmohan Jamwal incharge Udhampur and Reasi welcomed the guests and expressed gratitude for having chosen Thathli Panjar for celebrating the Handloom Day. |
