| Independence Day celebration ‘Jashn-e-Azadi’ begins at GGM Science College | | |  JAMMU, Aug 9: Week long Independence Day celebration ‘Jashn-e-Azadi’ began at GGM Science College commemorating 75 years of Indian Independence Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav with patriotic zeal and enthusiasm.
The theme for the programme is ‘Aatmnirbhar Bharat’, the idea of self reliant nation in every aspect. NSS GGM Science College under the guidance of PO Dr Deepali Mahajan made posters and wrote slogans as we can all see during the pandemic, India has demonstrated that it can cope up with dire situations. Within this year, India has not only started the world’s largest self made vaccination drive, it is in fact exporting it to different nations as well. The youth has to come forward and follow the mantra of ‘vocal for local’, the promulgation of local brands providing a big boost to India’s economy. NSS Volunteers Tanisha, Nancy, Neeru and Sunandini on day one participated in awareness drive for vaccination and Covid-19 appropriate protocol in various villages and slum areas.
