| Vaccination drive at GDC Akhnoor concludes | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 9: The vaccination drive against COVID-19 being held at GDC Akhnoor for the benefit of the college students concluded today after a three-day long run. The Department of Health, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, provided “Covishield” vaccine to as many students as possible ensuring that almost all college students are vaccinated, along with all the members of the non-teaching staff. The college teaching staff had already been vaccinated beforehand and the college is gearing up to receive any further directives from the UT government regarding on-campus resumption of various college duties related to teaching and interaction with the student populace.
The third day again saw a huge response from the students and the principal of the college, Dr Namarta expressed the hope that the awareness the students have shown towards getting vaccinated would show positive results in the fight against the pandemic. |
