Plantation drive organized

UDHAMPUR, Aug 9: LFO-BH Foundation organised a plantation drive in which more than 200 saplings in an area of Udhampur were planted.
Many volunteers took part in the well-orchestrated campaign which witnessed heavy participation. The drive was inaugurated by Bikram Singh "Sarpanch Garnai" (Chief Guest of the Occassion) along with Daleep Singh Antal "Panch Ward No. 04 lotta" Panchayat Garnai, by planting saplings at Panchyat Garnai area of Udhampur.
Different varieties of plants and trees were being planted including Sukhchain, Amla, Arjuna, Gauva, Jalapa, Hibiscus, Gulmohar, Bamboo and many other medicinal and flowering plants.
Vivek Parihar (Director/C.E.O of the Organisation) while talking he said, "The tree plantation drive was conducted with an aim of contributing to the Green Drive of our country, fighting against global warming and thereby reducing its impact on climate change and ultimately presenting a better environment for the next generation. The NGO is encouraging the locals to do the same so that a large number of saplings can be locally prepared and planted for increasing the green cover of the area, he added.
Another volunteer from the organisation Rubina Jamwal said "Our NGO continue to organize such activities to contribute in maintaining ecological balance and conserving the environment".
The volunteers who were present in this plantation drive were Aditya, Rubina, Rimpy, Shubham, Sachin and many more.
