| Locals of Gho Brahmana protest over shifting of Covid Vaccination centre | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
SAMBA, Aug 9: On public demand a Covid vaccination was started at NTPSC Gho Brahmana a few days earlier.
The centre was allotted 50 doses per day whereas the people who were approaching the vaccination centre were in hundreds.
The hospital authorities were doing offline registration of left out people and were advising them to come on next day for vaccination. This system was adopted by hospital authorities for two days but yesterday suddenly to provide political gains to some affluent persons, the hospital authorities shifted the vaccination centre from Govt building to private building, that is Khajuria Palace Gho Rakwalana which is about 200 metres ahead of NTPSC. People of surrounding areas are still approaching NTPSC which is designated vaccination centre and are feeling harassed as no notice was issued regarding shifting of vaccination centre. Ram Paul Sharma, Sarpanch Panchayat Halqa Gho Brahmana and other prominent people of the area urged the CMO Samba, Director Health Jammu and LG of UT to shift the vaccination centre from private built to designated centre (NTPSC Gho Brahmana) so as to provide immediate relief to general public. |
