| GDC organizes plastic free campus drive | | |  Early Times Report
BISHNAH, Aug 9: The NSS unit of Government Degree College Bishnah organized a 'plastic free campus/campaign as part of Swacchata Pakhwada.
The NSS volunteers participated in the campaign and picked all the plastic waste from the campus. Starting from the college main gate, they traversed the entire campus of the college, cleaning all the plastic waste from it.
All the plastic waste from the campus was later handed over to the Municipal Committee Bishnah for its proper disposal. Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the college Dr. Anuradha Pandoh appreciated the zeal of the NSS volunteers in keeping the campus clean and exhorted them to aware the general masses in their respective panchayat about the solid waste management. The entire campaign was co-ordinated by the NSS programme officer Prof. Amit Kumar Sharma. Later the NSS volunteers were also given the refreshment. |
