GDC Kalakote organizes cleanliness drive

KALAKOTE, Aug 9: The NSS unit in collaboration with EBSB Club of GDC Kalakote under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Romesh Kr. Gupta, Principal GDC Kalakote, organized one-day cleanliness drive in the college campus in commemoration to Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav.
The event was one among the series of events scheduled to celebrate the 75th Independence Day. With the spirit to celebrate our Independence, GDC Kalakote organized various events with eminent zeal and fervour. This cleanliness drive was also the part of this celebration and the students made this drive successful by participating in it with great enthusiasm.
This cleanliness Drive organized by GDC Kalakote was also a small step towards this aim of Clean India. The faculty members and participating students took the responsibility of cleaning the college campus with a spirit to inspire others to keep their surroundings clean. The efforts of the participating students and the members of Organising Committee which included, Prof. Anayat-Ullah-Khan (Convener EBSB Club), Prof. Priyanka Kumari (Convener NSS Unit) and Sudesh Bhagat (PTI) were highly appreciated by Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta, Principal GDC Kalakote.
Speaking on the event, Dr Romesh Kr. Gupta said that the Independence Day (15th of August) is a reminder of all the sacrifices of our freedom fighters made for this country and for our future.
The event ended with the vote of thanks presented by Prof. Priyanka Kumari, who thanked Dr. Romesh Kr. Gupta, Principal, for his tireless efforts to keep the staff and the students motivated for participating in such events. She further thanked the staff members and the students for their much needed cooperation for making this event a grand success.
