GDC Ramnagar organizes cleanliness drive

UDHAMPUR , Aug 9: To celebrate 75th Independence Day, a week-long celebration began at Government Degree College (GDC) Ramnagar under the patronage of Dr Udhey Bhanu, Principal of the college under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav and also Swachta Pakhwara.
The NSS Unit and Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav committee of the college has planned to organize a series of the activities to celebrate the national festival and also to infuse a sense of patriotism amongst the young blood of India.
The celebration started with the cleanliness drive in and outside the college premises. The NSS volunteers of the college very nicely cleaned the premises of the college with full enthusiasm.
Keeping in view that the cleanliness of the surrounding and personal hygiene is one of the important factor to minimize the effect of COVID-19 pandemic NSS volunteers not only conducted the drive in the college premises but also in the adopted village Thaplal. NSS Volunteers under the guidance of Prof Ritika Mahajan,
NSS Programme Officer of the college raise slogans regarding need of cleanliness and necessary precautions which are to be followed regarding the outbreak of the pandemic amongst the locals of the village.
Dr Udhey Bhanu, Principal of the college applauded the efforts made by NSS Unit and Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav committee. Senior Faculty member Prof Suresh Kumar Dogra and Prof Swarna Devi convener Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav were also present during the drive and motivated them also.
