2nd International conference on positivity organized

Jammu, Aug 10: The 2nd International Conference on Positivity organized by Udhampur Campus, University of Jammu in collaboration with Institute of Positivity concluded today with an address by Dr. Dnyaneshwar Mulay (IFS), Founder & Patron, Institute of Positivity, former, Secretary, Foreign Affair Govt. of India.
He gave his address on the conference theme i.e., positivity and growth. He said that our mission is to bring change through enthusiasm and positivity. He also said to achieve the new vision of modern, democratic, and progressive, one must educate and train the leaders. He said the proactive environment of civil society plays an important role in building a nation. We must commit our society based on commitment, passion, and positivity.
Dr. Purnima Voria, Founder & CEO, National US India Chamber of Commerce (NUICC) enlightens the participants about the ways to make one’s life better after Covid-19 Pandemic. She said that during the pandemic situation apart from the negative consequences we do have many opportunities to start and grow the business that needs an innovative mindset of people.
Special Guest Popatrao Baguji Pawar, Padam Shri Awardee, said that for transformation and local development, social harmony is essential. He said that he struggled hard to transform drought prone villages to green and prosperous modern villages and in that endeavour faced a lot many problems, but his positivity helped him to contribute in the upliftment of villages and needy people. He said that we must make green India free of water problem and violence. Pawar further suggested that water-budgeting need to be introduced at administrative and institutional level.
Earlier, Prof. Parikshat Singh Manhas, Rector, Udhampur Campus, University Of Jammu in his welcome address updated the dignitaries and participants about the proceedings of the event. Prof. Manhas further said that we are dedicated to nurturing students, academicians and civil society who contributed toward regional and national growth.
He said that Udhampur campus is persistently working for promoting entrepreneurship and organising various programs for skill enhancement and an intellectual development.
Guest Speaker, Amit Waiker, Managing Director (ASEAN), Dohler Group gave mantras to become a successful entrepreneur i.e. availability of import substitute, enhance selling and persuasion skills, networking, go beyond, keep smiling, make the other people feel important and ready to tell the right story at the right time to the right person.
Guest Speaker Sanam Arora, National Indian Students and Alumni Union UK, said that NISAU is the largest association of Indian origin students and young professionals outside India. She addresses climate issues and said that working on climate change will be the biggest contribution to the generation next.
Guest Speaker Bhaskar Sagar, Senior Manager - Business Development, Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT), enlightens the participants to start and develop various business ventures.
He shared his experience to lead a business successfully and also to enhance entrepreneurial skills. Bhaskar said that to protect against unexpected financial hardships, risk must be identified, market and non-market solutions need to be considered and a solid plan must be developed and implemented successfully.
In concluding remarks Prof. Parikshat Singh Manhas said that in the future we will come up with more such events that will promote skilling and entrepreneurship and enhance the personal capabilities of the youth of J&K. Udhampurs Campus will work towards making them self-reliant and contribute towards upliftment of society and nation.
The session was moderated by Tripti Dutta, (Director, Institute of Positivity) and the closing remarks was presented by Anshul Alagh, CEO, Council of Royal Roots. He extended his gratitude to all the dignitaries for their positive and outstanding experience and specially thanked Prof. Parikshat Singh Manhas, Rector, Udhampur Campus, University of Jammu for taking an initiative and promotes entrepreneurship programs and positivity. He thanks all the participants for their presence and makes this event successful.
