Power employees stage protest | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 10: At the call of NCCEEE and EEFI "Save democracy and Save power sector day" was observed in Jammu and Kashmir (UT) by holding protest demonstration today at Jammu under the banner of J&K Non Gazetted Electrical Employees Association. Md. Maqbool Gen. Secretary and Gurmeet Singh while addressing the rally at Jammu demanded the central Govt. to withdraw its decision to pass the Anti people anti constitutional Electricity amendment bill 2021 through the parliament which snatches away the right to energy to the poor and rural people and allow the loot of corporates in the power sector. These leaders said the Govt. of India while succumbing before the pressure put up by Electricity employees and engineers throughout the country during the massive struggle recently, has postponed its decision to pass the bill timely but the danger of this anti people and anti employee legislation remains there. They warned the Govt. that if this bill will be introduced again in the parliament the employees and engineers throughout the country will resort to strike the same day. They urged the employees and engineers to forge a broader unity and intensify the struggle unitedly in coming days. The other leaders who spoke were Ajay Sharma, Kamlesh Kumari, Gara choudhary, Balvinder Kumar, Amarjit Singh and others. |
