Journalist arrested with two hand grenades in Srinagar: police | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Aug 10: Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a journalist and recovered two hand grenades from his possession in Srinagar, where at least seven persons were injured in a grenade attack this afternoon. A police spokesman said a journalist identified as Adil Farooq Bhat, son of Farooq Ahmad Bhat, resident of Khrew Pampore was arrested from Lal Chowk area of the civil lines. Two live hand grenades were recovered from his possession, he said. He said more arrests are expected and investigation is going on. Earlier, during the day a grenade attack by militants on a bunker vehicle of SSB left seven persons injured in Hari Singh High Street (HSHS) in the city. |
