Dy Mayor JMC chairs meeting of prominent members of Muslim Anjuman Haderi | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 16: Advocate Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor JMC chaired a meeting of prominent members of the Muslim Community including Jafar Nahvi Senior Vice President Anjuman Haderi, New Plot), Ashfaq Hussain (General Secretary Anjuman Haderi, New Plot), Shuja Zaffar (Chairman Jammu Muslim Front), Rashid Qareshi (Coordinator Anjuman Haderi, New Plot) and briefed them regarding the various schemes for welfare of general public and weaker sections of the community. Many other issues being faced by them were also discussed during the meeting. Speaking after the meeting, Adv. Purnima Sharma said that today she held a meeting of prominent members of Muslim Community including Presidents of various Imambara's in order to discuss the issues being faced by them and to make them aware regarding the various social welfare schemes by the government for public welfare and the welfare schemes provided by the Standing Committees of Jammu Municipal Corporation Chaired by her for housing and skill development. She further said that these people know about most of the issues being faced by their community and also can help in making aware the needy public regarding the welfare schemes provided by the government for their welfare. "The Presidents and prominent members of different Imambaras can act as a bridge so that more of the weaker section public of the Muslim Community in need of help of the social welfare schemes can be reached", She added. Briefing the various schemes, Deputy Mayor said that there are loans schemes under housing for all through which homeless people can get shelter constructed by meeting the requirements for the scheme and also further briefed them regarding the skill development schemes by various Skill development agencies like ICICI Academy and CLC Center Jammu. |
