| 194 bottles of cough syrup like contraband seized by police | | |  Early Times Report
KATHUA, Aug 16: In its decisive action against drug menace in the District, Kathua Police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, R C Kotwal recovered 194 bottles of 'Siorex' cough syrup like contraband. Police had arrested two persons in concern.
According to reports a police team of PP Hatli led by Insp. Yash Paul Sharma IC PP Hatli under the supervision of Dy SP Headquarter conducted a raid at Maggar Khad area. During raid police recovered 194 No's of Siorex Corex Syrup (Codeine Phosphate) bottles from the possession of two persons, identified as Ram Dass S/o Nand Lal (28Yrs) R/o Ward No. 13 Hatli Morh Kathua and Arif Hussain S/o Ilyas (22Yrs) R/o Dhanore. The said persons were later on arrested by the police party on spot along with contraband like item was seized. In this connection, a case vide FIR No. 380/2021 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act got registered at P/S Kathua and further investigation was taken up. |
